Permission to attend an off campus excursion – Years 7- 9: United Blacktown Bootcamp Gym, 31st of October 2017 (Tuesday)

On the 31st of October,2017 (Tuesday), Year 7-9 students will be having an excursion to the United Blacktown Bootcamp Gym, Glendenning. The excursion is intended for this specific group of students as part of enhancing their learning in the following Key Learning Area:

  • In PDHPE: This term, students from both Stage 4 and Stage 5 have been learning to identify a range of different forms of physical activities and the benefits it provides to their overall health and fitness. This excursion will allow students to participate in different forms of physical activities (circuit training, group challenges and boxing classes) that engage and enhance their levels of physical health and fitness.

United Bootcamp Gym has a standard pre-screening form which informs the gym instructor of the student’s brief medical history. This allows a better understanding of each student’s health and fitness levels in order for them to cater a program that addresses any medical needs or limitations.

A risk assessment has been made prior to the conduct of this excursion and potential hazards are also discussed and addressed.

Transport on the day will be provided to and from the venue via school bus.

Please provide food for your child for the day, there will be no food services available at the venue.

We highly encourage all students to attend and if there are any issues or concerns you may address your enquiries to Miss Larissa Bongco when you respond to permissions below.
