PERMISSION TO ATTEND AN OFF-CAMPUS EXCURSION – Stage 5 Excursion to the Western Sydney Careers Expo
Dear Parents,
Greetings in the Lord!
Stage 5 will be attending the Western Sydney Careers Expo at Sydney Showground, Olympic Park on Thursday, 27th of June, 2019. The excursion is intended to inform students about different career paths and future study they can do once they leave school; as well as the pathways involved to achieving their future aspirations. Students will be able to attend seminar talks by key people from a variety of industries, including how to succeed in Year 11 and 12.
A risk assessment has been made prior to the conduct of this excursion and potential hazards are also discussed and addressed.

Cost: Free
Assembly: ECC, 441 Blacktown Road, Prospect, NSW 2148
Departure: 9:00 am
Arrival: Returning to school grounds by 3:00pm.
What to Bring: Recess and Lunch
Transport on the day will be via school bus.
WHAT TO BRING
Uniform: Wear correct and complete formal school uniform.
Please remind your students NOT to bring their school bags on the day. School bags are not permitted anywhere within the Expo venue and no bag storage is available. This directive is an OH&S required from the venue. If any student ignores this directive and brings their school bag, traffic controllers at the bus drop-off area will request that they leave their bags on the bus, at their own risk.
A small bag to carry a snack is advised and cloth bags to carry material collected at the Expo will be available on entry

EXCURSION EXPECTATIONS
In order for students to be permitted to attend the excursion, they must:
· Be attired in the correct clothing on the day.
· There are places in the venue for students to buy food, however, students are encouraged to bring their food for the day.
